Marcus Ottochian, 10/04/2011  This Pacific Islands Simulation rendition of Fua'amotu airport and the rest of the Tonga islands is simply impressive. The scenery is extremely detailed and very frame rate friendly. Well worth the money.

THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL SCENERY ADD-ON. IT CONSISTS OF 8 ISLANDS ONE OR TWO OF WHICH AREN’T LISTED ON FSX BUT YET THEY ARE THERE…IN THE PACIFIC. YOU CAN FIND THEM BY USING THE FSX MAP AND LOCATING THEM USING LONGITUDE AND LATITUDE. THESE MEASUREMENTS CAN BE GLEANED FROM THE INTERNET. THE ISLANDS ARE LUSH AND INTERESTING ESPECIALLY TINAK (N18). THE RUNWAYS VARY FROM ASPHALT TO SAND AND ARE ABOUT 2500-35OO FEET SO DON’T USE THE AIRBUS. FLY TO THE ISLANDS USING A CESSNA 172 AND THEN USE THE ULTRALITE TO EXPLORE THE ISLAND. A FEAST FOR THE EYES.

JK Card 01/19/2011     Fantastic work! Downloaded from Simarket, installed and did a short hop from Toronto to KMRB in the MD11 – ILS 26 approach went well and really enjoyed the detail of the airport! As with all PIS scenery – great frame rates with no noticeable impact even with a complex heavy. I then jumped into the Beechcraft Duke to start a VFR tour and made my way to 7SP. A very challenging strip, especially with a strong crosswind! The custom objects and placement is incredible! After a good look around the airport and a quick stop at the beautiful hotel with the large patio overlooking the small lake (must be nice in the summer!), I found Seven Springs Mountain Resort Ski Hill and was amazed and the attention to detail with the Hotel and especially Chair lifts! Have never been to the area, but googled the mountain resorts site for a comparative and was amazed at the accuracy! A few accurate and well detailed objects really brings the scenery to life. Have not yet made it any further that 7SP – I’m sure it will take a while to do the tour and take it all in – but well done!! Looking forward to the Marshalls and a return to the Pacific. Would not have taken time to explore the Appalachian area if it was not for this release, tossing in Ingalls made the decision easy - that's a lot of airports and interesting objects/scenery for the price!

JIM GRACHAN 06/19/10. Finally a the most accurate scenery for Ingalls - Hot Springs Airport, created. I live in Virginia and I simulate a regular service from Roanoke (and sometimes Lynchburg) to Hot Springs for the Homestead Resort. It doesn't get any more real than this. I fly a either A Cessna Caravan (Feel There) or the Aerosoft Twin Otter with the Sonic Solutions add on Sound Pack, and this great scenery package completes the experience. Thanks, Sim Island!!!

Michael Holmes 2/25/10.   Excellent software package. Beautiffully rendered & a pleasure to fly. I thought I had a problem with my computer running this but it turned out to be my settings. Lead programmer Graham called me & helped me on numerous issues. What customer support. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.

Eric Crouch 12/01/09.    I always enjoy flying in the states but latley I've decided to break away. As I seached for some new scenery files I wanted something I never tried before...the pacific! After checking out the screen shots I was sold, after purchasing and downloading I was very pleased. This scenery will provide you with hours and hours of challenging, yet fun adventure for sure. Lead software designer/developer Graham Michael and his team clearly show their passion for flight simulation scenery with incredible detail! Flying birds, animal sounds you name it! It's all there. Keep in mind that for the price you get several airports (I haven't been to all of then yet but it's about 12 to 16?), not just one. You get your moneys worth for sure. Since I am running Vista Home Premium I have been no stranger to some frustration. I contacted Graham with a few questions that weren't directly related to this product and let me tell you, the support provided to me was far beyond any expectations. Very impressive indeed. This team is professional and passionate about what they do. Put these products on this years Christmas list, get out of the cold and into the tropical pacific this winter and get one of the best scenery packages on the market!

Mark Payton 09/29/09.   As mentioned in the other review PNG Bushpilot Pacific Island Sim adds much more detail to Papua New Guniea with the included mesh and a whole lot of detailed airstrips. The manual shows the location of all these airstrips and Navaids (where available) as well as a "tour" you can fly to see all of the airports. There are lots of animations at the aiports such as people, animals, and houses with smoke coming from the chimneys. For bush flying in a tropical setting this software has provided me many hours of enjoyment.

Alan Yeo 09/18/09   The BEST add-on scenary package I've owned so far! Totally awesome. From sea-level to mountain top airstrips and flying, you've got them all here. And it's filled with lots of goodies and surprises everywhere waiting to be discovered. And the frame-rate indeed is impressive too.

Bram Stikkel 09/14/09.   Wether you would want to test your skills in bushflying or just want to go on a virtual vacation in the tropics: this is the add on for you. With Raw Grit: PNG Bushpilot, Pacific Island Sim provides a surrounding that is so beautifull, you really imagine yourself in the jungle of Papua New Guinea. Put yourself at one of the small airstrips and you will hear jungle sounds all around you, see flamingo's or kakatous flying around you and almost smell the vegetation thats everywere around you. The local airfield office is located in one of the bamboo, wood and leaves buildings you see. Smoke rizes from some of them, probably the local airport-restaurant, preparing a delicous mango with fish meal for you. The scenery contains almost all unique, original created objects, (which is not allways the case with payware addons), people, animals, non-living objects, you see them all. Also the bigger picture has improved dramatically compared with the default scenery. Raw Grit: PNG Bushpilot comes with an new meshscenery, that provides many small - probably vulcanic - islands around the main parts of Papua New Guinea. Also these small islands are really beautifully 'dressed', some of them with airstrip too. It was pure joy and relaxing, flying parallel with the coast and beaches of PNG, the sight is breathtaking. A last very nice detail of Raw Grit: PNG Bushpilot is the road traffic that has been locally adapted in speed. The traffic you see, goes with a - probably to road conditions - adapted speed. If you want to leave the big main airports behind you for a while and want to have some nature and peace around you, this addon certainly is worth the money you pay for it.
