The AN-14 is adequately suited for this 11,515ft high altitude airstrip. This strip was abandoned in the 1940s/50s mining boom era. It's not in use since but is recreated in FSX for nostagia sake.
The 1,650ft long RWY has a 13 degree gradient as seen here to the left. Because of RWY's short lenght at very high altitude, apply full power roll downhill and expect to drop 400ft before gaining altitude.

Load mining equipment at IGN and track up-river to Wild Dog oil exploration site. You'll need all turbine power to take you up to 7,779ft msl at Wild Dog. The only suitable place to land is this bamboo landing pad.
TAU is 42nm due east of BDI (strip 1. above). Terminal scene at 6,590ft msl.
RWY is elevated just above house roof-top seen here left of pic. If you stray past the 44gal drums on T/O or TD roll you're bound to drop 15ft down onto RWY base. Note the C208 struggling up the 12 degree slope? The strip is only 700m (2,296ft) long.
An old Army quonset at base of Tauta mountain. The allied forces (ANZAC and US military) controlled much of the Markham River valley during World War II. The small customized shack between quonset and water tank emits NDB signal.
An over-view of TAU strip with the Markham River valley below. TAU basically sits on a ridgeline, and you can either land and T/O uphill from RWY 09 or land and T/O downhill from RWY27. If using turbine a/c (Kodiak or Caravan) for RWY 27, ensure proper config for TD with full reverse thrust.

In the distance is the wharf and seaplane base. Follow the river downstream to the Rai Coast river delta. Or, follow the river further upstream to Bambu (see strip 9 below) and Nankina (strip 11).

DIN sits above 8,000ft msl with a 700m (2,296ft) RWY. Either approach from a tight left base or via straight-in and risk grazing side of the mountain. See next pic below.

Moro strip serves the Kutubu Oil fields and surrounding villages. It is situated in the highlands region at about 3000ft msl and has an extended rwy which caters for commuter aircrafts such as DHC-8s.
The huge Lake Kutubu and wildlife. The Lake covers an area of about 29.24 sqkm (18 sqm) with a total catchment of 250 sqkm (155 sqm). It's the second largest lake in PNG after Lake Murray. This village scene is at the approach end of Moro's RWY 27.
The lake is Oil Search Ltd's major pride as it claims to have the most environmental-friendly operations in the southern hemisphere. The smoke far in the background is the Kutubu Oil fields.
The only way up to BAM and NKN (see Strip 13 below) is via this valley. The building in the middle belongs to a local politician, but you can claim it as your weekend mountain retreat.

Make sure to get that mixture set at appropriate setting for the short 1,575ft (480m) take-off. RWY is 9.3% sloped and is one-way T/O and LDG only.

Cessna Caravan on final is dwarfed by the shear height of the Finisterre Range. The highest point is over 13,697ft (4,175m).

The Tavurvur volcano (Rabaul) erupted in 1994 and is still very active spewing hot lava, poisonous gases and boulders daily. Tremors are felt for miles constantly throughout Rabaul/Tokua area to this day.
Daylight shot at different stage of eruption. You'll hear low rumbling sounds at Tokua airport. Fly a heading of 292 to see volcano activity although consult AYTK NOTAM in the Facilities Directory for Ops restrictions.
ONG is a bonus airstrip which is not included in the original 23 strips.
PNG claims to have the Worlds shortest scheduled flight - 5 mins - between ONG and Woitape (WTP). ONG is situated on a ridgeline due south of WTP.

Sitting on a ridgeline over 5800ft msl, the rwy is only 500m long with a 7% sloped gradient. Ldg 34, T/O 16.
ONG is a whiteknuckle strip as can be seen in this dogleg rwy pic taken from 16 end. You land on 34 and expect a 10 degree right curvature half-way up-hill. See the boulders here; they "could" be the reason for the dogleg and your worst nightmare.
